Labyrinth Canyon

No man ever steps in the same river twice, for it’s not the same river, and he’s not the same man. Philosophy from Heraclitus, 500 BCE. Photography from me, September 2022

Five days, four nights on the Green River in Utah. We paddled and floated through Labyrinth Canyon. The landscape is stunning in its grandeur, and just as mesmerizing when you observe small details. The color palette is ever changing, and shadows crawl up and down the canyon walls as the sun moves across the sky. At night the stars feel close enough to touch. The backcountry is rugged, mysterious, and full of visual wonder.
